ReSEC PhD student, Arash Rafat, attended the 22nd workshop on the hydraulics of ice-covered rivers (CRIPE). CRIPE organizes a Workshop on the Hydraulics of Ice Covered Rivers every two years to promote research related to river ice. Participants include students, researchers, and practitioners from across North America and overseas. This year's workshop was held in Canmore, Alberta, on July 9 to 12, 2023.
Arash presented his research on "Monitoring the formation and growth of lake ice during heavy snowfall" and stood out as the best, earning him the prestigious Best Presentation Award! Congratulations, Arash on this achievement!
