Postdoctoral Fellow 

I am Postdoctoral Fellow in Statistical Hydrology in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University I have received my PhD and MSc in Hydrogeology and BSc in Geology from University of Tabriz, Iran. After my graduate studies, I have worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Tabriz in Iran and McGill University in Canada. My primary research interest is to explore new methods in machine learning and deep learning-based hydrological forecasting. Besides, I am interested in water quality, heavy metal contamination, and groundwater vulnerability. I have been as an advisor for 10 Masters' theses.

I was appointed as Top Ph.D. Student of the Year 2018 by Iran’s Geological Society in the year 2016. I was also a recipient of Top Researcher of the year 2018 in the fundamental Sciences (Ali Polad Award) and Iran's National Elites Foundation (INEF) Education Award in the year 2017-2019 and has 6 years of research experience with over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings and technical reports.
